Trees are the lungs of the earth, the protectors of its soil, the harvesters of life-giving water. By planting a tree we open our eyes to the threat facing our planet. The moment we place a seed in the soil, we become a part of the solution. |

Why trees? |
|
|
Trees are a massive carbon sink. They absorb CO2,
one of the main greenhouse gasses, and release
oxygen which nourishes life. Each tree will remove
100 tons of CO2 over its life. The roots of trees prevent
soil from eroding and increase the water-holding properties of the soil. |
